Privacy Policy - AliSmart

Last updated: October 19, 2026

Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how AliSmart: AliExpress AI Finder, Tracker & Coupons ("AliSmart", "we", "our", or "the extension") handles user data and privacy. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

Independence

AliSmart is an independent product. We are not AliExpress or Alibaba, and we do not act on their behalf. We participate in the AliExpress affiliate program and may earn a commission on purchases made through our links, at no extra cost to you.

Data Collection and Usage

We do not collect any personally identifiable information. Our extension operates on AliExpress, Amazon, Temu, Shein, eBay, and Alibaba, and processes most data locally in your browser.

Information We Do Not Collect:

• Names, email addresses, or any personal identification information
• Login credentials
• Browsing history outside of supported shopping websites
• Payment or financial information
• IP addresses (we do not store or log IP addresses)

Anonymous Usage Analytics:

To improve the extension and understand how features are used, we collect anonymous usage data, including:

• A randomly generated anonymous identifier (not linked to your identity)
• General device information (browser type, operating system)
• General location data (country, language, timezone)
• Extension version
• Feature usage events (e.g., which buttons are clicked, which features are used)

This data is fully anonymous, cannot be used to identify you, and is used solely to improve the extension experience.

Smart Search Feature:

• When using the Smart Search feature, your search queries are sent to our server for processing
• The server uses AI to analyze your search request and find relevant products
• Search queries are processed in real-time and are not stored or logged
• No personal information is attached to search requests

Image Search Feature:

• When using the Image Search feature, the selected image is sent to our server for processing
• The server analyzes the image to find visually similar products
• Images are processed in real-time and are not stored or logged on our servers
• No personal information is attached to image search requests

Price Tracking:

• When you view a product page, the extension may send that product's public sale price to our server: product ID, variation ID, price, list price if available, currency, and country
• This information is used to build a price history for that product
• No user identifier, account, or personal information is attached to these records
• Price records are stored so the history can be shown later, including to other users viewing the same product
• Uninstalling the extension does not delete these price records, because they are not linked to you

Third-Party Services

Our extension utilizes the following services to provide its functionality:

• Our Server: A dedicated server that handles:
  • Coupon data management
  • Affiliate link processing
  • API interactions with AliExpress
  • Smart Search processing (converts natural language queries to product searches)
  • Image Search processing (analyzes images to find similar products)
  • Product price history (product ID, variation, price, currency, and country). No user identifier is stored with these records
  • Anonymous usage analytics processing
  • No personally identifiable data is stored on this server
• Google Analytics 4 (GA4): We use Google Analytics 4 via the Measurement Protocol to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps us understand how features are used and improve the extension. Only anonymous, non-personally-identifiable data is sent to Google Analytics (such as feature usage events, extension version, and general device information). No personal data, browsing history, or product data is shared with Google. For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy.
• AliExpress Platform: Used to access product information and generate affiliate links through the official AliExpress affiliate program.

Data Storage

We use Chrome's local storage API to temporarily store:

• Coupon information (updated daily)
• Extension configuration settings
• A randomly generated anonymous user identifier

No personally identifiable information is stored locally or on our servers.

Cookies

The extension reads cookies set by AliExpress (such as the aeu_cid cookie) for the purpose of affiliate attribution. The extension does not create, modify, or set any new cookies. No cookie data is transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Affiliate Links

This extension uses affiliate links. When you make a purchase through these links, we may receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. All product links on AliExpress are automatically converted to affiliate links.

Product Data

• All product data is sourced directly from AliExpress
• Product ratings and metrics are collected from AliExpress and may change over time
• We do not modify or manipulate any product information

User Rights and Choices

Users can:

• Use the extension without providing any personal information
• Disable or remove the extension at any time
• Clear local storage through Chrome's settings

Uninstalling the extension stops collection from that browser immediately. Anonymous usage data tied to the extension is no longer collected. Product price records already stored are not linked to you and are kept as part of that product's price history.

Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this privacy policy at any time. Any changes will be reflected with an updated date at the top of this document.
